Student Code of Conduct and College Regulations
1. College Timings and General Schedule
Working Days:
Monday to Saturday (6 days a week)
Timings (Monday to Friday):
9:20 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturday Timing:
9:20 AM – 3:00 PM
Morning Assembly & Prayer:
9:20 AM – 9:30 AM (Attendance compulsory)
Weekly Chapel Prayer:
Every
Friday Morning
(All students must attend)
Break Time:
II, III & IV Years:
12:20 PM – 1:00 PM
I Year:
1:00 PM – 1:40 PM
2. Attendance and Punctuality
Students must report to college
on or before 9:20 AM
.
Latecomers will not be permitted
into the campus.
A minimum of
75% attendance
per subject is mandatory as per Anna University norms.
Leave must be informed in advance with a proper leave letter. Medical leave must be supported by a medical certificate.
3. Dress Code and Grooming
Uniform is mandatory
on all working days except the last working day of the week.
Casual dress
is permitted
only on Saturdays
.
Dress Code:
Boys:
College uniform with tucked-in shirt, formal shoes, clean shave, and neatly groomed hair.
Girls:
College uniform with neatly groomed hair and modest dressing.
ID card
must be worn around the neck at all times within campus.
4. Lab Conduct and Safety
Students must wear the
prescribed lab coat/uniform
during laboratory sessions.
Lab Shoes
(if specified) must be worn.
Students must follow the instructions of the faculty and lab technician strictly.
No unauthorized experiments
should be performed.
Lab apparatus must be handled with care. Any damage may result in fine or disciplinary action.
5. Library Rules
Maintain strict
silence
inside the library.
Carry your
ID card
to access the library and borrow books.
Books must be returned within the due date;
late returns will attract a fine
.
Personal belongings must be kept outside the library.
Avoid marking or damaging library materials.
6. Campus Discipline
Ragging is strictly prohibited
. It is a
criminal offence
under the law.
Students found guilty will be
dismissed immediately
and legal action will be taken under
UGC regulations
.
Usage of
mobile phones in classrooms, labs, and the library is prohibited
.
Respect faculty, staff, and peers at all times.
Any form of
violence, harassment, or misconduct
will result in serious disciplinary action.
Maintain
cleanliness
in classrooms, labs, and the campus.
7. Entry and Exit Regulations
Students are not allowed to
leave the campus during college hours
without prior permission.
Gate pass
is mandatory to exit the campus during working hours. It must be approved by the respective HOD or Principal.
Parents/guardians must be informed in case of early exit.
8. Bus Transport Guidelines
Students must board and alight buses at designated stops only.
Maintain
discipline inside the bus
; do not create disturbance or cause damage.
Misbehavior in the bus will result in withdrawal of transport facility and further disciplinary action.
9. Digital Etiquette
Avoid using mobile phones, smartwatches, or any electronic gadgets during academic sessions unless permitted.
Academic dishonesty
, such as copying in exams or plagiarism in assignments, is strictly prohibited.
10. Disciplinary Actions
Any student found violating college rules will face strict disciplinary actions which may include:
Oral/Written Warning
Intimation to Parents
Suspension from Classes
Debarring from Exams
Cancellation of Scholarship/Privileges
Expulsion from College
