The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) of Dr. G. U. Pope College of Engineering, Sawyerpuram, organised an Industrial Visit to Kaynes Technology, Mysuru, Karnataka, on 26 August 2026.
A total of 70 students accompanied by 4 faculty members participated in the industrial visit. The visit provided students with valuable first-hand exposure to industrial practices, manufacturing processes and emerging technologies beyond the classroom.
Kaynes Technology is a leading end-to-end and IoT solutions-enabled integrated electronics manufacturer in India, with expertise spanning conceptual design, process engineering, integrated manufacturing and life-cycle support across sectors including automotive, industrial, aerospace and defence, medical, railways, IoT and information technology.
The industrial visit enabled the students to gain practical insights into real-world engineering operations and understand the application of their academic knowledge in the industry. The experience contributed significantly to enhancing their technical awareness, professional skills and understanding of industry expectations.
The visit was an enriching learning experience for the students, reinforcing the importance of industry–academia interaction and experiential learning in engineering education.
