Sawyerpuram, 24 August 2026: A Blood Donation Camp was organised at Dr. G. U. Pope College of Engineering, Sawyerpuram, in association with the Lions Club of Tuticorin, with the aim of encouraging voluntary blood donation and creating awareness about the importance of donating blood to save lives.
The camp witnessed the active participation of students, faculty members, staff and volunteers, who came forward to support the noble cause. The programme provided an opportunity for members of the college community to contribute towards meeting the needs of patients requiring blood transfusions.
The initiative emphasised the message that a small act of kindness can make a big difference, encouraging young people to develop a sense of social responsibility and service to society.
