The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (UG & PG), Dr. G. U. Pope College of Engineering, in association with the Computer Society of India (CSI), Institution Innovation Council (IIC), and ISSM Business School, organized a one-day seminar titled “Bridging the Gap Between Academic Learning and Industry Expectations” on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
The seminar aimed to equip students with a clear understanding of current industry requirements and to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical workplace expectations. The session emphasized skill development, professional preparedness, and the importance of aligning academic knowledge with real-world applications.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Ms. V. Anushiya, Program In-charge (AP/CSE), and Dr. T. Jasperline, IPR Activity Coordinator and Head of the Department. The event was held in the presence of Dr. J. Japhynth, Principal, and Judge John R. D. Santoshham, Correspondent of the institution.
Faculty members and students actively participated in the seminar, making the event informative and impactful. The organizers stated that such initiatives play a vital role in enhancing students’ career readiness and professional competencies.
