Sawyerpuram, October 18, 2024 – The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Dr. G U Pope College of Engineering, in association with the CSI Chapter, proudly organized Eureka ’24, a remarkable event that took place at the college auditorium.
The event commenced with a prayer and benediction led by Rev. J. A. D. Manohar, Pastorate Chairman of Sawyerpuram Pastorate, setting a dignified tone for the day’s proceedings.
Chief Guest, Mr. M. Jeyabalan Durairaj Devasir, B.E.O. (Retired), along with Guest of Honour, Mr. Jackson Duraiman, Panchayat President of Kumaragiri, graced the occasion with their presence. In their addresses, both dignitaries encouraged students to continue their pursuit of knowledge and to innovate for the future. Their inspiring words were a highlight of the event.
Special Guests, Thiru D.D.S. Abishekam (Pastorate Secretary, Sawyerpuram), Thiru B. Rajadurai (Sawyerpuram CSI TND DC Member), and Thiru K. Johnson Ponsingh (Pastorate Treasurer, Sawyerpuram), were also present, lending their support to this grand occasion.
An inaugural address was delivered by Dr.Vijayalakshmi, Vice Principal of Dr. G U Pope College of Engineering, where he spoke about the significance of academic excellence and industry collaboration in the modern engineering landscape.
The program was well-coordinated under the leadership of Dr. T. Jasperline, Head of the Department of CSE, and supported by faculty members including Mrs. A. Ruthi Rathnakumari (Association Coordinator) and Mr. E. Stephen Joseph (Program Coordinator).
The event concluded with a Presidential Address by Thiru R. Rajesh Ravichandar, Correspondent of Dr. G U Pope College of Engineering, who expressed his gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty, and students for their efforts in making Eureka ’24 a grand success.
