IIC – Institution’s Innovation Council

An IIC (Institution’s Innovation Council) cell –  An initiative by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) in India to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in educational institutions. The IIC aims to encourage students, faculty, and staff to participate in innovation-related activities, create startups, and contribute to the country’s innovation ecosystem.

Key objectives of the IIC cell include:

1. Promote Innovation and Entrepreneurship: By organizing workshops, hackathons, seminars, and idea-generation competitions.
2. Mentorship and Guidance: Providing mentoring to students and helping them with their ideas, projects, or startups through faculty and industry mentors.
3. Collaboration: Building partnerships with industries, incubators, and innovation labs to bring practical exposure to students.
4. Capacity Building: Training faculty and students on innovation, patent filing, startup processes, and business development.

By fostering a creative and innovative environment, IIC cells help students transition from education to entrepreneurship and contribute to the economy.
