Sawyerpuram, October 30 — Dr. G. U. Pope College of Engineering, Sawyerpuram, has been conferred with the Green College Award 2025 by the Department of Ecological Concerns, C.S.I. Thoothukudi–Nazareth Diocese, in recognition of its consistent efforts towards maintaining an eco-friendly and sustainable campus environment.
The award highlights the institution’s initiatives in promoting cleanliness, greenery, and environmental awareness among students and staff.
The college administration expressed its heartfelt appreciation to all teaching and non-teaching staff, campus sweepers, cleaners, students, and members of NSS, NCC, and YRC for their active participation and contribution towards achieving this honour.
The management stated that the institution remains committed to nurturing a cleaner and greener tomorrow under its motto “Serve with Love.”
