Empowering First-Year Students: A Detailed Overview of the Engineering Practices Workshop at GUPCE Campus

In a bid to provide foundational knowledge and practical skills to first-year students, the SAH Department at GUPCE campus organized an insightful workshop on Engineering Practices. Conducted by Dr. P. Pathalamuthu, Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Anand Institute of Higher Technology, Chennai, the workshop spanned two significant sessions held on April 22, 2024, and May 13, 2024.

Under the guidance and leadership of Thiru. R. Rajesh Ravichandar, Correspondent of GUPCE, the workshop aimed to equip students with essential skills in Engineering Graphics and Models. Dr. J. Japhynth, the esteemed Principal of the institution, and Dr. Vijayalakshmi, the Head of the Science and Humanities Department, provided invaluable support to ensure the success of the workshop.

The sessions delved into various aspects of engineering practices, with a particular focus on hands-on learning. Through interactive lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercises, students were immersed in the world of Engineering Graphics and Models.
